Min Seung Ki
민승기
Min Seung Ki is currently based in Icheon, Korea.
Graduated with a Masters in Ceramic Arts from Kookmin university, his pieces are characterised by his beautiful hand-painted guiyal / buncheong technique. His works offer a calm and grounded feeling. Within the details of the brushwork, one can imagine many images. The small bursts of red flashing look like flowers ( we were personally reminded of fireflies in rushes of grass ) which add a unique story to every single piece.
Min Seung Ki's work can also be found as a part of Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum's permanent collection.
